"Bremerton Girl Scouts stuck with counterfeit $20s
THE ASSOCIATED PRESSBREMERTON -- Someone used counterfeit $20 bills to buy Girl Scout cookies in Bremerton.
Troop 40411 leader KC Gettings made the discovery Saturday when she was making change in a bank and was told she had two fake $20s. She found another $60 in fake bills for a total loss of $100, which is equal to 25 boxes of cookies.
The Girl Scouts plan to be back out next weekend, armed with counterfeit-detecting pens to check the currency."
